Research breakfast: AI and the climate – complex challenges, exciting opportunities

We live in a time when technological progress is accelerating faster than ever – especially in AI. But what effects could this have on people, nature and climate in the coming decade? How can artificial intelligence contribute to the climate transition? And what risks does it create at the same time?

May 7th offers Azote together with The Folk University Join us for an exciting research breakfast with Victor Galaz – author, associate professor of political science and researcher at the Stockholm Resilience Centre and the Beijer Institute for Ecological Economics. Victor explores the connection between AI and sustainability in his book “Dark Machines”.

During breakfast we will discuss important questions such as:
• Can AI accelerate climate change?
• Why should we see digitalization as a “mine” rather than a “cloud”?
• What new sustainability problems does AI create while solving others?

As a communications agency with deep roots in science, we see this as a perfect opportunity to understand the interplay between technology and planetary boundaries. We hope you'll join the conversation!
